Logo

The Placed logo operates at the intersection of product and brand—simple, but elevated. The clockwise arrow represents pushing boundaries toward the future, while its continuous loop signifies a deliberate return to the past. As our first line of communication, the mark is a visual representation of real presence, presenting what already exists, better.

Our primary logo

Our primary brand logo consists of our dimensional symbol and a custom-crafted wordmark. The horizontal lockup is our definitive primary mark, to be used across all main brand communications and external spaces.

While the symbol can stand alone within our product ecosystem, the full horizontal lockup should be the default choice to ensure brand recognition.

Symbol & stacked logo

The symbol is the most minimal representation of Placed. It acts as our product mark and is utilized primarily within our interface, or in environments where the brand context is already firmly established and the wordmark is not required.

The stacked logo is our secondary lockup and should be used sparingly. It is reserved strictly for vertical formats or confined spatial layouts where our primary horizontal lockup does not fit comfortably, yet the brand still needs to be explicitly recognized.

As with our primary mark, both the symbol and the stacked logo are dimensional artifacts. They must be Placed on neutral, high-contrast backgrounds to preserve their tactile presence and spatial grid.

Interface lockups

While our dimensional artifacts serve as our primary brand signifiers, complex environments require pure structural geometry. For standard user interfaces, dense photography, physical printing, or full-bleed brand applications, we utilize our Interface lockups.

By intentionally stripping away the spatial grid and tactile gradients, these flat variants guarantee uncompromising legibility across our entire ecosystem. The Interface collection includes our primary horizontal lockup, the standalone symbol, and the stacked secondary mark.

Always use the variant that provides the absolute highest contrast and cleanest visibility against its background.

Clearspace

Clearspace is the protective area that must remain free of other elements to maintain the mark's presence.

Our grid system is absolute. The icon's core height (2X) dictates a minimum spatial padding of X across all lockups.

Partnership lockups

When pairing with partners, use our monochrome Interface lockups to maintain a curated, uniform aesthetic. Wherever possible, partner logos must also be monochrome.

If the partner logo is a standalone symbol and our brand context is already established, our standalone Interface symbol may be used instead of the full lockup.

Structural clearspace rules remain absolute. A definitive divider line separates the marks, requiring an exact spatial padding of X on both sides.

Material explorations

While our structural grid governs the digital interface, our mark is fundamentally designed to exist as a tactile artifact. For curated campaigns, brand editorials, and spatial environments, standard UI clearspace rules may be adapted to allow for physical and material exploration.

In these moments, we translate our continuous form into physical mediums like glass, metal, and architectural lighting.

We encourage dimensional presence, but restraint remains paramount. Even in experimentation, taste always prevails over noise.
