Logo

The Placed logo exists at the intersection of product and brand - familiar, but elevated. The clockwise arrow represents forward movement through continuous refinement. Its looping form reflects Placed’s philosophy of building upon what already exists rather than reinventing it entirely. As the first expression of the brand, the mark should always feel intentional and recognizable.

Our primary logo

Our primary logo consists of the dimensional symbol paired with a custom crafted wordmark.

The horizontal lockup is our core mark and should be used across all brand communications, marketing materials and external facing environments. While the symbol can function independently within the product ecosystem, the full horizontal lockup should remain the default choice to ensure brand recognition.

Symbol & stacked logo

The symbol is the most minimal representation of Placed. It acts as our product mark and is used primarily within our interface or in environments where the brand context is already established and the wordmark is not required.

The stacked logo is our secondary lockup and should be used sparingly. It is reserved strictly for vertical formats or confined spatial layouts where our primary horizontal lockup is not viable, but the brand still needs to be recognized.

Both marks should be placed on clean, high-contrast backgrounds to maintain legibility and visual presence.

Interface lockups

While our dimensional marks define the broader brand system, certain environments require a more functional expression. For dense interfaces, photography, physical printing or full bleed applications, we use flat Interface lockups designed for clarity and contrast.

The Interface collection includes the primary horizontal lockup, standalone symbol and stacked secondary mark. Always use the version that provides the strongest visibility within its environment.

Clearspace

Clearspace protects the visibility and integrity of the mark.

The icon’s core height (2X) establishes the minimum spatial padding of X surrounding all lockups. No typography, graphics or interface elements should enter this protected area.

Maintaining consistent spacing ensures the mark always feels balanced and intentional and immediately identifiable across every application.

Partnership lockups

When paired with partner brands, use monochrome Interface lockups to maintain a cohesive visual system. Whenever possible, partner marks should also appear in monochrome. If the partner mark functions as a standalone symbol and the Placed context is already established, the standalone Interface symbol may be used in place of the full lockup.

All partnership applications should follow the same clearspace rules and include a divider line with equal spatial padding between marks.

Material explorations

While the mark is designed for digital environments, it is equally intended to exist as a physical object. For campaigns, editorials, installations and spatial environments the mark may extend into materials such as glass, metal, lighting and architectural surfaces. Material exploration should extend the identity - not compete with it.
